Experience the power of sound and story at this one-off live event at the Royal Geographical Society. The evening will open with a new soundscape by musician and sound artist Alice Boyd. Featuring her field recordings from across the UK - from coastal waves and calling toads, to the vibrant dawn chorus - the piece invites the audience into an immersive listening moment celebrating the sensory richness of the natural world.
Following the soundscape, explorer and author Levison Wood will lead a live panel discussion on the profound influence of forests on human history, adventure, and our planet’s future. He’ll be joined by a panel of leading voices in rewilding and exploration, including Bruce Parry, Lucy Shepherd, Lord Zac Goldsmith, and Dr Rosa Vásquez Espinoza, for a thought-provoking conversation about nature, hope, and the future we can still shape.
Every ticket includes a signed copy of Levison Wood’s new book, The Great Tree Story (RRP £25), plus the chance to win exclusive prizes from brands including Scientific Exploration Society, Shackleton, Tentsile, Iron Raft, and Journeys With Purpose.
Presented by Journeys With Purpose, with thanks to Koalla and Arksen.
