October 26 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM | £8.00 – £15.00
Join us for a cosy, intimate evening of film and music inspired by the natural world.
The night begins with a screening of Return, a new RSPB film celebrating the comeback of the white-tailed eagle to the UK’s skies. Featuring voices including sound artist Alice Boyd, RSPB ambassador Dave Sexton and Flock Together’s Nadeem Perera, the film tells a powerful story of resilience, rewilding and our relationship with nature.
After the screening, Alice will perform a 30-40 minute set with her band, weaving together folk-inspired harmonies, ambient electronics and field recordings.
Alice Boyd is a musician and sound artist based in South London. Her work explores our interconnectedness with the natural world and reveals the hidden sounds of our environments. She created the BBC Radio 4 documentary Shifting Soundscapes, retracing the footsteps of field recordist Martyn Stewart, and produces Found Sounds, a monthly series for Ffern’s As the Season Turns podcast. Her practice spans music, performance and spatial installations, with projects for organisations including the RSPB, Kew’s Wakehurst, Eden Project and TOAST.
This special evening at Brockwell Greenhouses offers a chance to gather in community, experience the story of the white-tailed eagle, and sink into a performance that explores our interconnectedness with the living world.
