Alps Volume 1: Field Recordings
Alps Volume 1: Field Recordings
Alps Volume 1 is a collection of field recordings made in the French Alps, captured at Le Cirque de Fer-à-Cheval. The pack brings together six long-form recordings, from gently flowing alpine streams to heavier waterfalls, distant ice cracks and the low, constant movement of water through the landscape.
Recorded using DPA 4060 omnidirectional microphones and a MixPre-6, each piece is presented with a natural sense of space and detail. There’s just over 30 minutes of audio in total, intended to be used as raw material - whether that’s for sound design, composition, film or quietly immersive listening.
These recordings work well both as subtle atmospheric layers and as more present, textural elements. Rather than tightly edited sound effects, Alps Volume 1 offers sustained moments of place: sounds you can sit inside, loop or shape into something new.
Usage & License
These recordings are licensed for use in personal, educational, and commercial projects. The sounds can be integrated into final works but cannot be resold, redistributed, or used in standalone form.
